As the Deputy Director of HR & Culture, Doug will be leading the HR initiative for ShoreRivers and continuing to build on the people-centered culture that is the trademark of the ShoreRivers’ mission. He joined the staff in October of 2024.
Doug brings years of formal human resources experience, most recently serving as a department of one as the HR manager at For All Seasons, a behavioral health and rape crisis agency located on the Eastern Shore. He grew up in Denton on the Choptank River and found his love for nature spending his time and summers working with the local parks and recreation department, or roaming and camping in Martinak State Park or Adkins Arboretum. He initially got involved with ShoreRivers through his work in the DEI+ space, which led to him serving on the board of directors. He is excited to bring his experience, knowledge, and passion to the team.
Doug studied business management in college, and has been certified as a Senior Certified Professional from the Society for Human Resource Management. He lives in Easton with his partner, who is a local teacher, and their menagerie of animals: two dogs, a cat, a ball python, and four fish.
