As the Director of Communications, Bethany works to manage and implement ShoreRivers’ communications strategy, creating materials and shaping messaging to help share our important work and mission with the public. She joined the ShoreRivers’ team in 2022.

A native of Carroll County, Bethany grew up in Maryland and returned to her home state after attending Lynchburg College (now University of Lynchburg) in Virginia and graduating Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Communications Studies. She moved to the Eastern Shore in 2012 to begin her professional career—first working in journalism before moving to the marketing and communications side of the industry. She has twice won awards for her writing from the Maryland-Delaware-DC Press Association, and was part of a team recognized for its work in media and public relations by the Maryland Tourism Coalition.

Bethany currently lives in Easton and can often be found around town with her dog, Charlie.
