Ann Swanson
The former executive director of the Chesapeake Bay Commission, Ann spent four decades as a recognized leader in Chesapeake Bay restoration. She was the catalyst for the early formation of the Chester River Association and the Sassafras River Association, two of ShoreRivers’ legacy organizations. She received ShoreRivers’ inaugural Award for Environmental Stewardship in 2019.

Retired CEO of Jewish Women International and founder of the Washington Area Women’s Foundation. A Master Gardener, her love of Eastern Shore waterways inspired her deep commitment to environmental stewardship.
