Join Permaculture Educator Shane Brill on a foraging expedition starting at Washington College and following the Rails-to-Trails path downtown and back to campus. Shane, the Assistant Director of Eastern Shore Food Lab at the college, will teach participants best tactics for how to identify edible plants and plant look-alikes around Chestertown, encouraging the group to use their senses while exploring the many delicious offerings of the natural world. And it isn’t just about finding what is edible! Shane will also be educating the group on how to maximize the nutrition potential of these wild plants.
