High school students from upper Eastern Shore counties can register now to attend the Upper Shore Youth Environmental Action Summit on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, from 9:30am–1:30pm. Hosted at Chesapeake College in Wye Mills, the Summit is a free school day field trip created to inspire and empower youth in taking local environmental action.
Students will have the opportunity to dive into local environmental issues through workshops led by environmental action experts, network with professionals in green career fields and from organizations that offer job/internship/volunteer opportunities for high school students, and learn more about student environmental action from their peers.
To register to attend the event, students must notify the designated contact teacher at their school by March 8, 2024. To find that information, please email mbuchanan@shorerivers.org.
