Join Choptank Riverkeeper Matt Pluta for an early evening paddle out of Hillsboro Landing, and enjoy sunset views with the hopes of catching the great spectacle of soaring osprey above and wading wetland birds below. This paddle will offer changing scenery which served as the backdrop for Frederick Douglass who based much of his writings and speeches on his experiences as an enslaved person, particularly as a child, in and around Hillsboro.
This event is open for 16 paddlers, ages 10 and up. Paddlers can bring their own kayak or use gear provided by ShoreRivers (ShoreRivers kayaks and gear are available for up to 10 people).
Space is limited, so register now before this paddle fills!
