Galena Elementary is creating a rain garden and outdoor learning place for their students and we need your help! Join ShoreRivers staff and volunteers to help plant native species in the garden. Rain gardens are bioretention facilities that capture and filter runoff and help treat stormwater before entering our watersheds.
Gloves, shovels, and supplies will be provided for volunteers. Volunteers are encouraged to bring water, a snack, and clothes they don't mind getting dirty and wet. If you are interested in attending or have questions, please contact Maegan White at mwhite@shorerivers.org.
